How It Works
The Soprano ICE utilizes the power of SHR, which is Alma Laser’s proprietary hair removal works to prevent hair growth while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue.
Short pulses are delivered deep into the dermis at a high repetition rate, achieving high average power and therapeutically effective heat build-up with virtually no pain.
The sweeping In-motion™ technique of moving the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area ensures full coverage while ICE™ technology cools the skin surface to prevent superficial burns and allowing for a virtually painless and highly effective hair removal treatment.
Alma’s groundbreaking Alex® technology combines the high absorption benefits of the Alexandrite wavelength with the treatment coverage, comfort and low maintenance of the diode laser, offering a cutting-edge hair removal solution that delivers superior results for darker skin types.
As part of the Soprano ICE platform, Alex allows us to treat a wider range of hair types and color, quickly and painlessly. Since its release, Alex has been used and clinically trialed by leading doctors and researchers around the world. In fact, a recent clinical study comparing the Alex 755 nm diode laser to the conventional 755 nm Alexandrite laser demonstrated that the Alex laser is just as effective, and, in SHRTM mode, it is even safer than the traditional Alexandrite laser.
Before & After Treatment
Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt, And Does It Work?
Just like all technology, laser hair removal machines have greatly evolved. At Pure Health Beverly Hills, we only use the most superior laser platforms that truly perform at a comfortable level without compromising the laser hair removal efficacy. Without the tears, hassle and numbing cream of the past, outdated technology, we can remove your hair quicker! Inferior lasers shoot energy that is so intense, that it not only causes pain, but it provides unnecessary risk & potential damage to the skin of the treated areas. With these lasers, the energy is generally turned down to prevent pain, at the sacrifice of results. This causes customers to need more treatments because the treatments are not effectively destroying hairs. This is not the case with our lasers.
Is There Any Downtime With Laser Hair Removal?
There is no downtime with our lasers! You can return to work, travel or a workout post treatment. We only ask that you wear sunblock on treated areas.
How Many Laser Hair Removal Sessions Will I Need To Remove My Hair?
The average person who wishes to do laser hair removal is recommended a standard of 6 sessions. With each treatment, a small percentage of hair will reduce, become finer in texture, until it is gone. Typically, after 6 sessions the treated area should see about 50% reduction in hair *some exclusions apply. Remember, laser treatments targets current, active hairs. While your body is responsible for repairing all damaged cells in your body, including hair cells, your body may repair damaged hair follicles post laser hair removal treatments, thus requiring more treatments. Also, once your number of sessions are complete, it is recommended that you have a “touch-up” session once or twice a year. Touch-up sessions only take half the time or less that a normal session.
How Often Do I Schedule My Laser Hair Removal Appointments?
Because of the hair follicular cycle, we advise that you wait an average of 6 weeks in between sessions but do not wait past 8 weeks.
